Marketing to Gen Y: 8 Things You Need to Know to Sell to Millennials
Millennials make up almost 27% of the Canadian population, and by 2028 they'll make up 75% of the Canadian workforce. This generation has a key set of traits that differentiate them from previous generations - they're heavy social media users, they're tech-savvy, and they prefer to buy from brands who are also online-savvy, and who put profits before purpose. Erin Bury has managed teams of millennials and led marketing programs for millennial-focused brands including foodora, inkbox, and Drop Loyalty. This presentation outlines key consumer habits among millennials, and highlights 8 tangible takeaways for your brand on how you can better position yourself to market to millennials, and tips on how to engage them online and off.
