Campaign Overview

#ShopYK returns to promote local shopping in Yellowknife!

Local shoppers will have opportunities to win weekly prizes and grand prizes throughout the campaign.

Contest Period: November 16 – December 13, 2026

Customer Entry: Customers can enter online via the Chamber's website or by scanning a QR code on campaign posters & POS tent cards. They will earn one entry for every $25 spent, the more they shop, the more chances to win!

The program includes promotional materials & promotion:

• Landing page on Yellowknife Chamber website.
• Posters displayed across Yellowknife, including every participating business.
• POS tent cards featuring QR codes for easy customer entry.
• Individual business highlights during our social media campaign.
• Radio, online ads, and digital boards will be used to drive awareness.

Weekly Prize Draws

Minimum of Five prizes of $125 each week!

Five prizes will be awarded on each of the following dates:

• November 20, 2026
• November 27, 2026
• December 4, 2026
• December 11, 2026

Minimum weekly prizing: $2,500

Grand Prize Draw

Draw date: December 16, 2026

The grand prizes are guaranteed at a minimum of:

• First Prize: $1,500
• Second Prize: $750
• Third Prize: $375

Minimum grand prizing: $2,625

Minimum Guaranteed Prizing

Registration includes a contribution of a $25 gift card. These contributions will help grow the overall prize pool and support the campaign's goal of encouraging residents to shop local.

Additional prizing will be confirmed as funding and business contributions are finalized.

Our Commitment to You!

Investing back in YOUR business! We'll purchase a minimum of $50 in gift cards from your business to include in weekly prize draws, driving customers and revenue back to you.

Increase YOUR visibility!
Your business will be featured on our website, and highlighted individually in our social media campaign.

Registration Fees: 
Members: $25 Gift Card and $100 + GST
Non-Member: $25 Gift Card and $200 + GST
