The annual Shop Local initiative, #ShopYK, has officially wrapped up.

This year’s campaign saw tremendous engagement:

• 1283 eligible submissions were received.
• $212,191 in local spending was tracked during the campaign.

Congratulations to everyone who participated and won! A heartfelt thank-you goes out to everyone who supported our local businesses during the holiday season. Each and every decision to support and shop local makes a difference.

The Yellowknife Chamber of Commerce and the City of Yellowknife would like to extend their gratitude to all participating businesses and their partners who made this initiative such a success. Together, we’re building a stronger, more vibrant Yellowknife.

The campaign ran from November 12 to December 12, 2024, featuring 32 participating businesses from which winners could choose their gift card prizes. A total of 20 weekly $250 gift card prizes were awarded, with winners selecting gift cards from up to two businesses. On December 13, three grand prizes were awarded: $2,000 in gift cards (up to 10 businesses), $1,000 in gift cards (up to 6 businesses), and $500 in gift cards (up to 4 businesses).
