Learn About Canada Revenue Agency's Liaison Officer Service

December 1st at noon

Presented by Jordan Carr
The Canada Revenue Agency is presenting an introduction to its Liaison Officer Service. This webinar is offered as a way to introduce the free service provided by the CRA to assist small business owners and self-employed individuals. Feedback surveys of individuals taking advantage of the Liaison Officer service show more than 90% felt the service was of great value to them and the CRA is striving to provide this service as widely as possible.
The Liaison Officer service connects small business owners and self-employed individuals with a CRA Liaison Officer who can answer questions and help small business owners understand their tax obligations better. Upon request, Liaison Officers will provide a customized presentation to individuals or groups of small business owners and self-employed individuals, covering topics including:
  • Understanding income, GST/HST and payroll taxes;
  • online services and tools that are available to assist in business endeavours; and
  • common tax errors to avoid.
Liaison Officers can also provide recommendations for bookkeeping practices that can help small business owners and self-employed individuals avoid making common tax errors and better understand their financial position.
This webinar will give attendants a basic understanding of what the CRA’s Liaison Officer service can offer them and will explain how they can request a visit from a Liaison Officer if they are interested in doing so.
